The first week is about letting the film settle.

Fresh window film can look different while it cures. Follow the installer’s instructions for window operation, cleaning, and inspection instead of treating every temporary haze or moisture mark as a failed install.

Use the shop's timing and cleaning instructions

Curing depends on film, glass, weather, humidity, installation conditions, and coverage. The shop should tell you when normal operation and cleaning can resume for the actual installation.

Temporary haze is different from a persistent defect

Small moisture patterns can change as film settles, while peeling edges, bubbles that remain beyond the expected cure period, or damage should be reported with photos. Do not press or pick at the film.

A shade label, IR figure, or marketing description is not the whole result. Confirm visible-light transmission, glass type, coverage, test method, warranty terms, and the installation conditions that apply to your project.
